Maintaining Your New Bicycle
Do bicycles need maintenance? Definitely. How much and how often really depends on how, where and how often you use your bicycle. It's a good idea to have your bicycle serviced about once a year. This service would typically include an inspection(for worn items) wash, lube and re-adjustment. Throughout your riding season you should check/add air pressure to your tires every week up to about once a month. As a general rule fatter tires use less pressure than skinny tires. We also recommend applying a small amount of chain specific oil to your bicycle chain about once a month. Following these guidelines can keep your bicycle running well for years to come.
